Final line-up confirmed for BHS TREC Showcase at Royal Windsor Horse Show

See the Professionals take on the Amateurs!

Organisers of the Royal Windsor Horse Show (13-17th May 09) have confirmed the full line-up of riders taking part in the brand new SEIB BHS TREC Pro-Am Challenge on Saturday 16th May.

Twelve riders will take on the challenge, which is sure to be a spectator hit as the very best riders in different disciplines pit their wits against one another. Who will win? Will it be one of our esteemed British professional riders or one of the experienced amateurs?

The final twelve includes representatives from the FEI disciplines of Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing. For Dressage it’s Britain’s European hopeful Laura Bechtolsheimer and Spencer Wilton, National Dressage Champion 2007. Tim Stockdale and Robert Whitaker will be flying the flag for Show Jumpers, whilst Lucinda Green’s daughter Lissa and ex-Household Cavalry riding master Dickie Waygood make up the Eventing contingent. Popular celebrity horse trainer Kelly Marks and Para Dressage rider Alex McNamara will be showcasing their abilities. Accomplished riders Staff Corporal Rupert Hackman from the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment and Captain Harry Wallace from the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery add to the line-up, and showing us all how it should be done are GB BHS TREC Team members Anna Weston and Anthea Kendrick.

The competition takes place in the brand new BHS Frogmore Arena on Saturday 16 May at 4.50pm. Competitors will negotiate a stream of obstacles against the clock, showcasing the control and concentration required for this fun and challenging sport. Why not come and cheer them all on and see who does best?!

The SEIB BHS TREC Pro-Am Challenge is one of the many British Horse Society competitions and displays on offer at Royal Windsor Horse Show, in the brand new BHS Frogmore Arena. Other competitions include the British Riding Club’s AmTrust Equine RWHS Unaffiliated Championships, the competition for grass roots riders; The Cary Arms BHS Instructors Challenge, Combined Training competition for BHS Instructors and a special BRC CIC** display by the UK team destined for the European CIC** Team Championships 2009 (previously known as Rural Riders), in Hungary.
