BHS TREC Showcased at Royal Windsor Horse Show - Professional and Amateur riders take on the Challenge!
Professional riders will take on the amateurs in an SEIB BHS TREC Pro-Am Challenge at Royal Windsor Horse Show (13-17 May 09).
Top riders from each of the disciplines – Jumping; Dressage and Eventing – will compete against Paralympians; a celebrity; riders from the Army and two GB TREC team members in a new BHS TREC Pro-Am Challenge, sponsored by SEIB.
Dressage Supremo Laura Bechtolsheimer has already signed up for the pro team, along with renowned celebrity horse trainer Kelly Marks on the amateur side. Anna Weston and Anthea Kendrick will be the two GB TREC members showing us all how it’s done!
The competition takes place in the brand new BHS Frogmore Arena on Saturday 16 May at 5.55pm. Competitors will negotiate a stream of obstacles against the clock, showcasing the control and concentration required for this fun and challenging sport.
Kelly Marks said: “I love Royal Windsor Horse Show and I'm really looking forward to taking part in this competition with my horse American Pie. I’m certainly hoping we'll be on the winning team!”
The SEIB BHS TREC Pro-Am Challenge is one of the many British Horse Society competitions and displays on offer at Royal Windsor Horse Show, in the brand new BHS Frogmore Arena. Other competitions include the BRC’s AmTrust Equine RWHS Unaffiliated Championships, the competition for grass roots riders; The Cary Arms BHS Instructors Challenge, Combined Training for BHS Instructors and a special BRC CIC** display by the UK team destined for the European CIC** Team Championships 2009, in Hungary.

Tickets for The Royal Windsor Horse Show 2009 are on sale now priced at £13 (adults), £9 (concessions including Royal Windsor Advantage Card Holders) and £5 (children 5-16years) if booked in advance. Family tickets (two adults and two children) cost £30. Tickets are priced per day and include entry to all the day’s events. You can book online at www.rwhs.co.uk or by telephoning 0870 143 2208. On the evenings of the Horse Show, the Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo, a musical and military spectacle supporting today’s soldier will take place. Tickets for the Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo can be purchased by calling the box office on 0871 230 5570 or booked on line at www.windsortattoo.co.uk.
