Ridden Show Pony Classes

This is a qualifying Show for the Royal International Horse Show.  One pony qualifies in each of Classes 109, 110, 111, 115, 116, 117, 118, 151 and 153, and the highest placed pony not already qualified of the first five ponies in each class will qualify.  Owners and riders must be BSPS Members and the pony registered with the BSPS to compete in classes with Royal International Horse Show qualifications.  All qualifying entries for the Royal International Horse Show must be delivered or sent on or before the closing date, together with the amount of entry fees and the charges for stabling required.  Late entries will only be accepted from qualifiers at those Shows which are held after the closing date of entry.  For the BSPS Championship Show, 1st and 2nd  prize-winners in Classes 109, 110, 111, 113, 114, 115 and 116 and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize-winners in Classes 117, 118, 151 and 153, will qualify to compete thereat.  To qualify for the above the ponies must be 4 years old or over, and be registered in accordance with Rule 23 and ridden by BSPS Members. Classes 109, 110, 111, 115, 116, 136, 137 and 138 are qualifiers for the “BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year”.  First and second prize-winners will qualify.  First, second and third prize-winners from Classes 147, 151 and 153 will also qualify.

The Best Rider in Classes 109, 110, 111, 115, 116, 117, 118, 151 and 153 will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the “Black Country Saddles” Rider of the Year at the Summer Championships Show..

This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge.  The highest placed pony in Classes 109, 110, 111, 115, 116, 117, 118, 135, 136, 137, 138, 142, 143, 144, 145, 151 and 153 will qualify.

Any exhibitor placed in the first 3 in Intermediate classes for Show Riding Type of Show Hunter Type may enter the Rising Stars class at the British Show Horse Association National Chamionship Show, September 10th and 11th 2010 at Addington.  No qualifying card required.

Any pony taking part in classes judged under BSPS Rules will be liable to dope testing.

The use of spurs is forbidden.
