Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony Classes

To be judged under the rules of the National Pony Society.

This competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings, five years old or over, which must be registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books.

The highest placed pony, owned by an NPS Member, in Classes 105, 106 and 107 will qualify for the final of The NPS / PRP / RAC EQUESTRIAN RESCUE M&M Working Hunter Pony Royal International Horse Show Championship. If the winner has previously qualified the pony standing next in line, which has not previously qualified, will be deemed the qualifier. Qualification may pass no lower than third place. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition.

Qualifying rounds are open to both NPS Members and Non Members BUT ONLY the highest placed NPS ADULT MEMBER (standard or Showing), on production of their membership card in the ring, will be eligible to qualify for the Final. A valid Membership Card must be in the rider’s / handler’s possession on entering the ring. NPS Adult/Standard members will be required to upgrade to Adult/Showing to enter the Final. Qualification to go no lower than third place. Qualified Ponies must be entered into the NPS Competition Final within 14 days for the pony to be eligible to appear in the Final.

Entry Fee: £48 (including £7.50 levy for Royal International Horse Show).

Class 105 Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony
Ponies not exceeding 122cm.
Prizes: £41; £31; £26; £16; £11; £11.
Class 106 Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony
Ponies exceeding 122cm but not exceeding 138cm.
Prizes: £41; £31; £26; £16; £11; £11.
Class 107 Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony
Ponies exceeding 138cm.
Prizes: £41; £31; £26; £16; £11; £11
Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Pony Championship
To be judged in the Castle Arena from the 1st and 2nd prize-winners in Classes 105, 106 and 107. Prize-winners eligible for the Championship must compete or forfeit their class prize money.
Champion: £105. Reserve Champion: £52.
