Appaloosa Classes
These classes are affiliated to the British Appaloosa Society (BApS). All horses exhibited in BApS affiliated classes must be owned by a fully paid-up member of BApS, and registered as follows:
- For Main Register classes – in the Main Register of the British Appaloosa Society, which includes Solid Appaloosas
- For classes including Part Breds – in the Part Bred or Main Register of the British Appaloosa Society
Prize cards will be given to the highest placed 1st. 2nd & 3rd place in each class.
Championship and Reserve Championship Rosettes will be given for the In Hand Main Registered Championship Classes.
Special Rosettes will be awarded to the Best Junior in the In Hand Classes, Best Part Bred (if applicable) and the winner of the Ridden Class.
In addition to the above, the society has decided to hold two championships classes at the Annual National Show held in early September. These being: Appaloosa 4 years & over. Stallions / Mares / Geldings. Highest placed male & female eligible or if already qualified next placed horse.
Young stock. 1, 2 & 3 year old. The highest placed male & female in each age group will be eligible or if qualified next placed horse.
The Society’s Affiliation Secretary will have the responsibility of informing those winners that are eligible once the results of the show have been forwarded.
Entry Fee: £40.50.
To be Judged on Sunday 16th May in the Copper Horse Arena
- Class 153Main Register Appaloosa In Hand
- Section A : Colt, Filly or Gelding, 1, 2 or 3 years old.
- Section B: Mare, Stallion or Gelding, 4 years old or over.
- Prizes in each section: £41; £31; £26; £16; £11; £11.
- Class 156Appaloosa Ridden (Main and Part Bred Register)
- Stallion, Mare or Gelding. 4 years old and over.
- To be judged as a Riding Horse class.
- The “Mr Freckles” Memorial Trophy, presented by Mrs C Bardo
- Prizes: £41; £31; £26; £16; £11; £11.
